CNF National Tournament 2026 — October 17, Toronto
The CNF National Tournament will be held in Toronto, Ontario on October 17, 2026.
- Venue: St Francis of Assisi Catholic School, 80 Clinton St, Toronto, ON M6G 2Y3 (note the venue has changed)
- Events: Engi, Individual Shiai and Team Shiai, open to all ranks, plus a Kata demonstration open to 3-dan and above
- Registration and payment deadline: September 30, 2026
- How to register: registration packages have been sent to dojos, so contact your dojo leader
- Eligibility: open to CNF members only

CNF Public Call for Submissions
Grading in Chicago — November 14–15
The Midwest Naginata Federation is holding a seminar and shinsa (grading) in Chicago on November 14 and 15, with guest sensei Tsukamaki-sensei from Seattle and Roche-sensei from New York. Grading is available up to 2-dan.
Canadian members are welcome to attend and grade. If you are interested, let us know at [email protected].
2027 World Naginata Championships — Tokyo
The schedule for the 2027 World Naginata Championships has been announced.
Location: Tokyo Budokan, 3-20-1 Ayase, Adachi-ku, Tokyo 120-0005
Schedule:
- WNC: Saturday, July 3, 2027, 09:00–17:00
- Goodwill: Sunday, July 4, 2027, 09:00–12:30
- Shimpan Seminar: July 4, 17:00 – July 7, 17:00
- 2027 INF Naginata Seminar: July 5–7
Seminar participation fee: 30,000 JPY for 3 days, the same for the regular seminar or the shimpan seminar.
Designated kata:
- Shikake-Oji: 2, 3 and 6
- Zen Nihon Kata: 2, 4 and 5
